Everyone can, “LIVE the DREAM”

My question for you is, “Are you willing to become the person you’re capable of being to live your dream life?

If you’re willing then I can help you get there with my 5 steps to create your dream life: Initialize, Visualize, Realize, Ritualize, and Monetize.

“We cannot change what we are not aware of, and once we are aware, we cannot help but change” – Sheryl Sandberg

To get to the place you want to be, you’ll need to take the first step or you’ll never complete the journey!

Initialize

To begin with, if you are reading this, you are probably unsure of your desired main goal in life, or as Napoleon Hill would say from his book Law of Success, “a definite chief aim”. That’s okay, you’re in the right place and heading in a good direction. I would venture to say that most of us are not sure of a desired main goal. I believe this is because we were given vague direction as a child, “you can do anything you put your mind to” my parents would say to me, but that saying didn’t explain how to do it; to put my mind to what exactly? Today, we are going to learn and explore “how to do it”. To put into action the notion and come out with an answer that, at worst, will be a great starting point to begin from.

So, the term “initialize” means, from the Oxford dictionary, to “set to the value or put in the condition appropriate to the start of an operation.” Let us, “put you into the condition appropriate to start the operation of your life’s goal: First, by reading this, you are initiating your start to a better you. Having an interest in self-improvement is a great motivating trait for the long-term journey you will be on before you reach the end of the rainbow and harness your pot of gold.

Truelly take this in.

Before embarking on a journey, it is wise to be prepared. Ways to prepare for this journey include getting good sleep, exercising, consuming healthy foods, and staying hydrated – this will ensure your body functions correctly, giving you a good feeling and mental clarity. Next, you should read, listen to podcasts, or watch YouTube videos on topics about motivation and life goals. These will stimulate your mind and help you conjure ideas and increase your motivation. Each of the activities listed above should be done daily to form a habit of positive changes. This journey is more of a marathon than a race, so consistency and pace are good traits to establish.

Visualization

Now that your body and mind are getting in shape, we can move on to the fun stage – visualization. This stage is very important and may take time, but rest assured, the answers you seek will come to you.

To visualize, you will be using your creative imagination to combine your talents, skills, knowledge of life and understanding of yourself, into the person you are going to be. To help you out, I have a system to follow called “genius seminar“. Inside each of us— and I mean everyone— I believe there is a personal genius waiting to be released. So let’s find your genius.

Free your mind.

To do this: Find a quiet, relaxing place. Lie down and get comfortable, close your eyes, and listen to all the sounds around you. Stay in this position until you are completely relaxed and your mind feels free.

Then ask yourself two questions:

1. First question:
What am I good at?

(This can be you are: organized, social, planning, strong, smart, motivated, etc. Try and come up with at least three.)

2. Second question:
What do I like to do?

(Hike, bike, teach, draw, sail, etc. Once again, at least three answers)

Keep staying in this trance-like state (flow), thinking about true answers. Once you have the answers and are done, write them down on your paper. This is a your starting point. I want you to take this sheet of paper and put it in an area where you can read it every day. You can rewrite it so it looks nice. Frame it so you don’t lose it. But most importantly, every morning, I want you to think of your answers in the same trance-like state (meditation). Think of a way that you can combine these answers and visualize and conceptualize the person you want to be. This would be a good time to keep a journal to write down your thoughts and stay organized.

Once you figure out your ultimate goal, go straight to work and don’t stop!

Realize

At this point, you may have come to an answer or a general area of interest. You may not be 100% in, but you’re ready to make tracks on the right path, headed towards your goal. Now is the time to start reading books, listening to podcasts, and watching YouTube to get more information about your area of interest. The more research you do, combined with your skills, traits, and experiences, the quicker you will realize your desired goal. Listen to your thoughts that arise in your mind during meditation. These thoughts are your inner guiding source of genius. Don’t dismiss them. These thoughts are the journaling material you’re going to write down and follow. These thoughts will lead you in the right direction, if you listen. They are literally the steps you will need to take to realize your dream.

I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion” -Mohamed Ali

Ritualize

Once you have realized your life goal, it’s time to get busy.

Stage 1 of the learning curve is always the exciting point. You are ready and motivated to achieve your goal, but then, when you reach stage 2, you realize there is more work than you thought there would be. Most people give up at stage two after realizing the difficulty, but it is at this point (stage 3) if you push through, you will build your confidence and knowledge base. Stage 4 is where it starts becoming fun due to the fact that you can see and feel real progress and you have faith, that your goal is going to happen.
A way to make sure you make it to stage 4 is by writing down, in your journal, your goal and all the steps you need to take to achieve your desired goal, visualizing them every morning, and working on them every day until they are complete. This becomes your ritual – your daily task of thinking and performing small steps until you reach your goal.

Monetize

Your goal may be to become a great person who simply wants to be happy and content or learn to play an instrument. That’s wonderful! However, if your life goal requires a source of income at some point for you to sustain yourself. You need to be creative. If you fall into this category, you will need to consider ways to monetize your goal. I used to have a mental block when approaching this aspect, particularly if your goal involves working for yourself.  Nevertheless, I have come to realize that with time, you can uncover numerous opportunities to generate income. You might earn money from advertisers who are interested in your content or services, selling related materials, receiving donations, participating in affiliate programs, and exploring many other avenues. All you need is to think creatively and invest your time wisely. Once again, use your meditation time, every morning before your day begins, to find the answers you seek to the questions you have.

The sooner you start, the sooner you actualize your dream life.

Create Your Dream Life

I’m glad you’ve made it this far. It demonstrates your capability to achieve your desired goal and live your dream life. At this stage you can make a collage or dream board of all the physical assets you may want to manifest and all the mental challenges you want to master. The journey ahead won’t be easy or fast; you will encounter numerous challenges and obstacles that will give you the experience and knowledge you’ll need to become great. With patience and persistence, you can excel and “achieve anything you put your mind to.”

Today’s Words of Wisdom are by Robin Sharma from the book The 5AM Club. He wrote:

“Heavily resist all piracy of your mastery from this world tempting you into distractibility and causing digital dementia. Force your attention back to the Everests of potential aching for fuller expression and, today, release all reasons that feed any stagnation of your strengths. Start being an imaginationalist—one of those rare individuals who leads from the nobility of your future versus via the prison bars of your past. Each of us thirsts for days filled with tiny bursts of the miraculous. Every one of us wishes to own our pure heroism and step into unchained exceptionalism. All human beings alive at this moment have a primitive psychological need to produce masterworks that wow, live daily amidst uncommon awe and know that we are somehow spending our hours in a way that enriches the lives of others. The poet Thomas Campbell said it beautifully when he observed, “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” Each of us—truly—has been built to make history, in our own authentic way. For one, this might mean being an excellent coder or a fine teacher who lifts young minds. For another, this opportunity could mean becoming a tremendous mother or a magnificent manager. To yet another, this good fortune may mean growing a great business or being a fantastic salesperson who serves customers superbly. This chance to be remembered by future generations and lead a life that truly matters is not some platitude. This is, in fact, a truth. Yet, so few of us have discovered, and then installed, the very mentalities, morning practices and consistent conditions that will guarantee these results appear for us. We all want to reaccess our birthright of towering talent, limitless joy and freedom from fear, but few of us are willing to do the very things that would cause our hidden genius to present itself.”
