Looking back, we often see things more clearly and wonder why we didn’t realize them earlier. This is a question we’ve all thought about at some point. Recently, I was reading Napoleon Hill’s “Law of Success” and found a great insight about enthusiasm and the proven strategies that successful people throughout history used to achieve greatness. They figured out ways to stay motivated, be creative, and stand out from the crowd – in short, they found ways to stimulate their minds until they achieved their greatness!

This discovery made me reflect on what drives my own creativity and motivates me to keep achieving – my mind stimulants? It was a moment of realization for me. Although I’ve always valued my creativity and drive, I realized I hadn’t looked deeply into why they exist, what triggers them, and if they will last.
From now on, every time I feel inspired, motivated, or creative, I will think about where these feelings come from and how I can keep them going. What are my mental stimulants? I also want to understand what hinders my motivation, enthusiasm, and creativity. Recognizing the things that stand in the way of these positive attributes is crucial for improving and maintaining the mental state that supports growth and innovation.

As you reflect on your journey towards creativity and self-discovery, I urge you to ponder upon these two pivotal questions:
What stimulates your imagination and propels your inner ambitions forward?
What stands as a barrier to your creative expression and the realization of your full potential?
In seeking answers to these inquiries, you pave the way to unlocking your capabilities for true greatness. Imagine the power of understanding ourselves to the extent that we could effortlessly ignite the flames of brilliance within. Envision a reality where thinking unconventionally and exhibiting creativity becomes second nature, astonishing not only those around us but also – ourselves. Deep within each of us lies a reservoir of untapped creativity and brilliance, only awaiting the spark of awareness to unleash its full potential. Just as we discern what nourishes our bodies, let us now embark on the journey to unravel what stimulates the fire of our minds.

While researching I came across an interesting article by Steven Kotler, excerpted from his book, “The Art of Impossible” that provides 3 Science- based strategies to increase your creativity. It is a great read and worth your time, but before you read his article answer the two previous questions to see if what you write correlates with his strategies.
Words of Wisdom

Todays topic about, “Stimulating your mind for success” was inspired by Napoleon Hill‘s Words of Wisdom from his book titled, “Law of Success“. He wrote:
“If a man goes about the affairs of life in the same day-in and day-out, prosaic, lackadaisical spirit, devoid of enthusiasm, he is doomed to failure. Nothing can save him until he changes his attitude and learns how to stimulate his mind and body to unusual heights of enthusiasm AT WILL!”

“SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE HAVE DISCOVERED WAYS AND MEANS WHICH THEY BELIEVE BEST SUITED TO THEIR OWN NEEDS, TO PRODUCE STIMULI WHICH CAUSE THEM TO RISE TO HEIGHTS OF ENDEAVOR ABOVE THE ORDINARY.”
