Welcome Back

Here are my six steps to unlock your creative genius and enter the state of flow.
Reaching a state of flow, where there’s a seamless connection between ourselves and the work we’re engaged in, is a remarkable experience. In this state, thoughts effortlessly flow through us without conscious effort, leading to the emergence of fresh ideas. If you have encountered this state before, you understand the incredible feeling it brings and how it facilitates the effortless generation of ideas that seem obvious in retrospect. This essence of personal development enables us to tap into our creative brilliance almost at will. However, if you haven’t yet experienced it, there’s no need to worry. With perseverance and practice, you can attain this state. It’s comparable to discovering a hidden image within a picture. You know it exists, but you haven’t spotted it yet. But once you see it, it unveils itself repeatedly every time you revisit it.
Step 1: Set a Goal
Clearly define the goal or problem you want to address. Be specific about what you want to achieve or create. Setting a clear goal provides focus and direction for your creative process.
Step 2: Research All Information about Your Goal
Gather relevant information and knowledge related to your goal. Conduct in-depth research, read books, articles, watch videos, and consult experts in the field. Acquiring a broad understanding of the topic will fuel your creativity and provide you with a solid foundation.
Step 3: Meditate Using the Information You’ve Learned
Find a quiet and comfortable space to meditate. Clear your mind and bring your attention to the information you’ve gathered. Reflect on your specific skills, talents, and experiences that can contribute to the goal. Allow the knowledge and personal insights to merge in your consciousness.
Step 4: Let Ideas Flow Naturally
As you meditate, ideas will start to flow into your mind effortlessly. Embrace the flow and let the ideas come naturally. Avoid forcing or overthinking the process. Trust in your intuition and let your subconscious mind bring forth innovative, unexpected, and creative ideas. Don’t settle for the first idea that comes; allow your thoughts to continue flowing until you feel satisfied.
Step 5: Journal Your Thoughts
Once you finish your meditation session, immediately write down all the ideas that came to you. Capture the essence of these ideas and any supporting thoughts or details. Writing things down helps solidify them in your memory and allows you to revisit and expand upon them later.
Step 6: Follow Your Inspiration
Review your journal and select the ideas that resonate with you the most. Identify the ones that align with your values, passions, and overall vision. Begin implementing those ideas and taking action towards your goal. Trust in your inspiration and allow it to guide your creative process. As you progress, stay open to new ideas and be willing to adjust your approach if necessary.
Remember, the state of flow comes from a combination of focus, flexibility, and trust in your creative instincts.
Words Of Wisdom
This week’s Words of Wisdom and inspiration for The Social Seed Podcast were written by Joseph Nguyen from his book, “Don’t Believe Everything You Think.”
“When you are doing your best work and are in a total state of flow, where there is no separation between you or the work you are doing, you are having no thoughts in the moment. And if you are having thoughts, it’s just flowing right through you without you having to think about it. In other words, the state of peak performance for humans can be described as the state of non-thinking. It may seem crazy, we do our best work when we aren’t thinking, and you just proved it with your own experience.”
My Current Events
Welcome back, let me catch you up on what’s been happening in my life recently. Last week, my girls embarked on an exciting windsurfing lessons, and we also had an incredible snorkeling experience at Director’s Beach. As for this week, it revolved around caring for our beloved sailboat. It may not match the typical image of cruising the world, but any seasoned sailor can attest that a boat always requires attention.
In our case, our sailboat was in need of some maintenance, particularly on its deck. I had to remove the worn-out caulk between the beautiful artificial teak decking, replacing it with fresh caulking. Although the task consumed a couple of days, I thoroughly enjoyed the process while listening to great music in the background. Now, the deck looks great, and with any luck, it should withstand the elements for a few years.
This is where I will leave off for this week.
