“Personal Change Creates Strength” eps.13

Welcome Back

The Queen Emma Bridge

Hello and thank you for reading today’s podcast. My name is Tom, I am the host and creator of The Social Seed .

Let me ask you a question “would you like to have a better life, you just don’t know how to get it?
What if I told you that you can have it…you only have to dream it and apply the knowledge you already possess to live it!

With The Social Seed podcast I help you search within yourself, see your vision and become the person you are destined to be!

Every week I write a piece of literature I feel will inspire your mind, feed your soul and elevate –your life!

I wrote a poem titled the “Legend”
Which has become mantra.

Be the Bee buzzing around, pollinating people with knowledge abound, creating fruit for all to feed, curing the world with a social seed.”

For this poem to become a legend I need you to also be the Bee – to inspire individuals with these weekly words of wisdom, to help them create a more happy and productive life. More importantly -a better world!

Current Events

We have just arrived to Curacao and anchored in Spaanse Water. Our first job was to put the new 15hp engine on the dinghy and get to shore so we could check in to the Curacao. During this process I hurt my lower back. In Curacao every one on-board has to go to check into the country. So we were off on a mission to check in. Once we successfully made our way to sure, we had to find an ATM for local currency to ride the 6A Bus to Wilamstad. After about two hours we were successful and on the bus with money. Once in Wilamstad we had to find Customs, Immigration and Port Control. We first found Customs, but they were closed until 5:30; so we made our way across the Queen Emma Bridge and on to Immigration and Port authority. Unfortunately the shortcut to get to them easily was closed. So after asking a lady on the street about another way to get there, she asked her ride if he would take us. So we were off in a new friends car, 7 people including the driver. It wasn’t long by car to get there and we thanked our new friend and we made our way through the gate after checking in with the guard. After a short walk and 20 minutes of computer checking in we were through with Immigration and out the door. Across the street was Port Authority but they were closed until Monday. So we called a cab and we’re dropped off back at the Queen Emma Bridge. It was to early to check in with Customs, so we walked and decided to have dinner. I’m not sure exactly where we ate, but the food was delicious and we were charmed by the ringing of a about 20 bells that were attached to the side of a building and played a few minute ringing sessions that was very pleasant to listen to. Finally, after dinner Customs was supposed to be open so we went over and was let in after ringing the bell. The lady assisting me with checking in was really nice. During check-in Chelsea informed me that the bus was going to come earlier than expected, so everyone hurried to the bus station while I was still finish the paper work. After I was done, I hurried with a hurt back as fast as I could to try and catch the bus. Fortunately, the bus arrived at the original time of 20:30. We were all on the bus and heading back home. By 21:00 we were back on the boat and exhausted.

This is were I will leave off for this week. Let’s read today’s Words of Wisdom and see if it is the seed that will grow inside of you and inspire –your life!

Words Of Wisdom

“No one can persuade another to change. Each of us guards a gate of change that can only be opened from the inside. We cannot open the gate of another, either by argument or by emotional appeal.”

page 89 (7 Habits of Highly effective people) Stephen R Covey

The Seeds (POV)

Today I am talking about change and how it applies to you and the world. Each one of us has the opportunity to make a personal change. The person we are today can be different tomorrow. Our thoughts and beliefs have been defined by our lives and experiences but that does not mean that they are solidified. In order to make a change, you have to want to make that change. In order to want to make that change you need to feel that it is needed. This is where change becomes difficult. People grow up in different places, New York, California, Texas and other countries; in these different areas are different: cultures, sexes, ages and we all grow up differently. So our behaviors, beliefs and thoughts are based differently. So something might be exceptable to one person, and not to another. It is up to each one of us to evaluate ourselves and not just judge others. We can’t change them but we can change ourselves. Evaluate our actions, our thoughts and our feelings to see how you and I can make a personal positive Change. I think you will find that your mind becomes more peaceful and you life will become more free once you start making personal positive change a part of your daily thoughts. Remember Change is you getting rid of a weakness and building a new strength! So open your mind to Change and start living a better life!
