I titled it “The Legend.

I was inspired to create it after I started reading The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma.

This poem has become my mantra. To be the person to inspire individuals with weekly words of wisdom and inspiration to help them create a more happy and productive life. More importantly -a better world!

Current Events
Hi everyone I am still in Martinique. Much longer than anticipated. Christmas and New Years Eve have passed with many great memories. Although some sad times are here. A lot of our boat buddies have since left to head more north while we are here having things fixed before we leave. Our dinghy engine unfortunately, after 20 years of service, needs some serious repairs so we purchased a newer outboard. While we were waiting to receive the engine, we visited the B&G dealer to have our radar fixed. So we will have to wait another two weeks. Some good news is that we finally received our parts, from American Diesel, for our Ford Lehman Diesel engine for the sailboat. So at this point we are in limbo and enjoying the remaining days with friends that will soon leave. This is where I will leave off for this week.

Let’s read today’s Words of Wisdom and see if it is the seed that will grow inside of you and inspire – your life!

Words Of Wisdom

“Fill your mind with all peaceful experiences possible, then make planned and deliberate excursions to them in memory. You must learn that the easiest way to an easy mind is to create an easy mind. This is done by practice, by the application of some such simple principles as outlined here. The mind quickly responds to teaching and discipline. You can make the mind give you back anything you want, but remember the mind can give back only what it was first given. Saturate your thoughts with peaceful experiences, peaceful words and ideas, and ultimately you will have a storehouse of peace-producing experiences to which you may turn for refreshment and renewal of your spirit. It will be a vast source of power.”

The Social Seed Talk

Close your eyes and think about the words in each section. What feeling in your body do you feel? What are your thoughts?

1. Negative in negative out
• Dark clouds
• Mud
• Loud noise

2. Positive in Positive out.
• Sunshine
• Pretty field of flowers
• Birds chirping in the trees

When I thought of the negative words I pictured dull and gloomy. When I thought about the positive words I felt warm and calm. The negative thoughts use your energy while the positive thoughts add to your energy. This is one of the reasons we want to try and think positive, to give our body’s a constant charge of energy.

Negative producing thoughts
We all have negative thoughts sometimes. Here are some of the reasons.

1. Just thinking of everything that can go wrong.
2. Staleness or monotony.
3. Thinking the worst is going to happen.
4. Insecurity and inadequacy.
5. Distractions
6. Things happen that bother you.
7. Negative thoughts make us feel bad.
8. Makes you do things you regret.

Figure out your negative thoughts, write them down when they occur and find a way to turn them positive. Who wants to feel negative? Negative feelings can lead to anger with oneself or others. Feeling angry uses more energy, stresses you out, blocks your mind and makes you tired.
Let’s look at ways to stop having negative thoughts.

How to produce healthy thoughts
1. Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts right away.
2. Re-educate the mind
3. Learning by reading, podcasts and people.
4. Create a mental picture of who you want to be.
5. Practice that which you want to become.
6. Believe in yourself.
7. See the tough times for what they are – learning experiences.
8. Compare yourself to you only.
9. Proper diet and exercise
10. Routine

So think positively and form a mental picture of who you want to be and keep striving until you are that person.
